Lawn Cutting & Lawn Mowing in Bolton and Greater Manchester
Lawn mowing and lawn care keeps grass cut to a healthy, even length, with neat edges and clippings cleared away. It suits homeowners, landlords and anyone short on time, whether you want a one-off cut or regular visits. We look after lawns across Bolton and nearby areas, and green waste can be taken away.

What each lawn visit includes
- Mowing to an agreed height
- Edging along borders and paths
- Clearing clippings from paths and patios
- First cuts for long or overgrown grass
- Clippings taken away if agreed
- One-off or regular visits
Green waste can be taken away after the job. For larger loads of garden rubbish, see our garden clearance service.
What affects the price of lawn care
- Garden size — The area of lawn, borders, hedges, trees or fencing involved.
- Access — Side gates, steps, parking and how easily equipment and waste can be moved.
- How overgrown it is — A first cut or a neglected border takes longer than routine upkeep.
- Waste removal — Whether you would like green waste and cuttings taken away after the job.
- Frequency — One-off visits are quoted differently from regular, scheduled visits.
We don’t publish fixed prices because every garden is different. Tell us about yours and we’ll send a free, no-obligation quote.

Gardening questions we’re often asked
How often should I mow my lawn?
Most lawns need cutting every one to two weeks during the main growing season, roughly spring to early autumn, and less often in cooler months. Cutting little and often keeps grass healthier than an occasional hard cut. We can agree a regular schedule that suits your lawn and the weather.
How much does lawn mowing cost in Bolton?
The cost depends on the size of your lawn, access to the garden, how long the grass is and whether you would like clippings taken away. Regular visits are quoted differently from one-off cuts. We do not publish fixed prices, but we offer free, no-obligation quotes.
Can you cut very long or overgrown grass?
Yes. Overgrown lawns often need a first cut in stages, starting high and lowering the height gradually, so the grass is not damaged. This first visit usually takes longer than routine mowing. Send us a photo so we can plan the work and give you an accurate quote.
Do you take the grass clippings away?
Yes, if you would like us to. We clear clippings from paths and patios as standard, and green waste can be taken away after the job. Let us know when you ask for a quote. For larger loads of garden waste, our garden clearance service may be more suitable.
What height should a lawn be cut to?
For most family lawns, a height of around 2.5 to 4 centimetres works well, with slightly longer grass in shady areas or during dry spells. Avoid removing more than a third of the height in one cut. We agree a cutting height with you to suit how your lawn is used.
